Between 23rd and 30th August, thirty Year 9 students went on a language trip to Bournemouth. The students stayed with host families and quickly settled into their new environment, enjoying the hospitality as well as the chance to use English in everyday life.

The schedule had a lot to offer: time spent in Bournemouth itself, trips to Winchester, Salisbury and a visit to Stonehenge, and of course the two showpieces – Oxford and London. Each day something new was to be discovered, whether cultural, historical or just a flavour of British life.

The journey back on the ferry and coach was a long one, but everyone agreed that the week had been an outstanding success and a rewarding experience for everyone. Keep an eye on our website, because soon you will be able to read an account of the experience from the students‘ perspective here too.
